September Session – Mammoth Style

Oct 05, 2017

Mammoth employees shredding the slopes in September.

Skiing and riding a resort in the Northern Hemisphere is not typical in the month of September – unless you work for Mammoth Mountain Ski Area, which had one heck of a 2016/17 winter season. Coming off a blanketing of up to 8” of fresh snow the previous week, the Mammoth Mountain team saw the best opportunity for a private employee party and shred session on Sept 28. Multiple snowcats shuttled ecstatic riders up the hill for lap after lap of corduroy-lined fun on Saddle Bowl and St. Anton trails, which was made up of leftover snow from last season with the addition from the recent storm.

The stoke was high as many people added another notch to their tally of hitting Mammoth's slopes every single month in 2017. Butters, turns, carves, side-hits and all the other usual early season antics were aplenty and got everyone jonesing for the upcoming winter season, which is will commence next month. Top it all off with a taco and beer party at McCoy Station, and you have one righteous day to be a Mammoth employee.

Book your trip for Opening Day now – see you on the hill Nov 9.
